A pleasant surprise that Slayer gave me with this new release, after their weak 'diabolus in musica' they seem back to good way, really this sounds like a combination between 'diabolus' and 'divine intervention' with some parts very groovies alternating with death/thrash metal rythms. Tom Araya in some moments is more aggressive than never!!!!! So like Paul Bostaph in drums, each disc he is proving he is the perfect substitute to that Drum God called Dave Lombardo, and in this release they have been exploring some newie darky sounds, like in 'bloodline' song or 'deviance'…..definitely a great work of SLAYER. Very commendable.
